Frequently asked questions
What does JOHI mean?
JOHI represents a bit of both Jordan and Hawaiʻi, two of the places we (Raja and Holly) call home. You can pronounce our brand: jō-hee.
Do you only ship to Hawaii?
Absolutely not! By the miracle of modern postal services, it is quite easy to ship our products in all categories to most places within the USA. International shipping is always a little trickier, but we have reliable shipping options. Reach out for any specific questions, no matter how big or small the item in mind.
Why do collections have product limits?
We believe that in order to stay 'creatively sharp' it is important to vary our design work. To do that we limit the number of products we can make and sell. This means the piece you get is just one of a small batch in the world (and even customizable as a collection piece).
Why do some items require a deposit?
All furniture pieces are made to order in our Hāliʻimaile studio and there is generally a 1-2 month wait before we can begin working on your individual peice. Placing a deposit ensures your spot in line at the shop and allows us to make any customizations to design and materials prior to project start. Collection & custom pieces require a 50% deposit from final quote (based on final design, material, and finishing choices).
Can I customize furniture?
Everything is made to order in our Maui studio. That means small customization requests can be accommodated. These often include finishing styles and colors, number of drawers, and weaving patterns. Reach out with your ideas and we will let you know what we can do.
